Bio

I’m passionate about people, the environment, and water, which is why I’m thrilled to serve as Garver’s One Water Practice Leader. One Water is focused on collaborating across the water industry and building a community of practice leaders – spanning reuse, water and wastewater treatment, stormwater, planning, forecasting, and every other industry facet. I’m proud to bring thought leaders together from across our industry to work toward one goal: finding innovative and lasting solutions to create a strong water future for our communities.

While at the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, I gained valuable experience that will continue to serve me in my new role with Garver. I coordinated the Advanced Water Treatment strategy for the Research and Development Office within Reclamation and for administering the Desalination and Water Purification Research (DWPR) Program. I guided the research portfolio in the area of advanced water treatment for the Science and Technology (S&T) Program and managed the DWPR Program which together fund over $20 million dollars’ worth of projects every year.

I recently joined the Texas Desalination Association Board of Directors as their new Treasurer for a two-year term and I am very excited to contribute and be part of this amazing organization.

As a lifetime member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), I focus my "free" time on advancing Hispanics and minorities in the areas of STEM. I have served in various positions on the Board of Directors of SHPE and have been active in leadership roles at the local, regional, and national level since 2003.
