Mikael joined Veolia in late 2022 after nearly a decade with the City of New York, where he was most recently the Energy Officer at the NYC Dept. of Environmental Protection. At Veolia, Mikael helps our staff and our clients develop and deliver their climate action plans and strategy, decarbonization projects, climate trainings and workshops, sustainability community engagement, and other programs in the water-energy-waste nexus. Mikael has published or advised on research with the Water Research Foundation, the New York Water Environment Association, and more. He holds a Master of Science degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of South Florida.
