May has a diverse background, including roles at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, where she led the UK climate change policy and science projects, and at BP and Deloitte, specializing in emerging tech strategy for the energy transition and digital innovation. Passionate about education and entrepreneurship, May mentors low-carbon startups and students with special needs. She holds a BSc in Biochemistry and a PhD in Molecular Biology from University College London (UCL).
