As a Washington State groundwater quality regulator, I am focused on protecting Eastern Washington's groundwater. protections including the management of Washington's groundwater. That includes implementation of artificial aquifer recharge to sustain availability of groundwater in our aquifers, and protection of groundwater quality through permitting of industrial wastewater discharges to the ground. Recharging groundwater is one of the beneficial uses of reclaimed water authorized in Washington.
