Bio

Highly qualified education specialist and former program planner, coordinator, and adjunct professor with a strong science education background and 30 years of experience at the School District of Palm Beach County (SDPBC), Florida Atlantic University (FAU), and Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD). Key strengths include the ability to teach and model effective teaching using a variety of instructional methods and innovative strategies, write, review, and present curriculum aligned to state standards, provide professional development, and work successfully with school, district, and state science administrators. Excelled with managing teams of science instructional specialists, resource teachers, and graduate teaching assistants. 
 
Taught middle school science for 12 years and worked as a science resource teacher for 2 years, a science instructional specialist for 2 years, and the grades 6-12 science program planner for 5 years in the curriculum department at SDPBC. Worked as a coordinator of FAU Pine Jog EE Center's K-12 educational/training programs for over 8 years. Coordinated Teaching Empathy through Nature, H2O to Go!, Climate READY, The Learn Green Institute, EnergyWhiz, OrKids, Growing our Urban Work Force, and Plants & More! Currently with PBCWUD, planning extensively for the opening of RECAP (Reclamation Education & Advanced Purification) as part of Green Cay Phase II in late 2026. 

Also worked as an educational consultant for curriculum companies, which included delivering professional development and writing curriculum in addition to working in a promotional capacity. Doing consulting work for the State DOE and NSF in various capacities. Have been on the BOD for the Florida Foundation for Future Scientists, which runs the State Science & Engineering Fair of Florida, since 2017, and as Treasurer since 2023.
